A kinetic sculpture based on Paul Schatz’s 1929 discovery that a cube can be continuously inverted through itself in a fluid looping motion. The Vortex Linkage expresses this principle through eight interlocking stainless steel torsion-spring links, allowing the assembly to pass through a momentary coplanar state during inversion while enabling manipulation into stable desktop sculptural forms.
